[/caption]Today Jon and I visited Steamtown in Scranton, which is about 70 miles from home. We did this instead of doing homework or working for you-know-who or putting away boxes! Steamtown is a repository of classic and vintage locomotives and rolling-stock. It has a good museum, including an historical and technological side, plus a roundhouse with about 40 locomotives. They offer steam excursion trains to view the fall foliage- so for those of you who are thinking of visiting us in the fall, this would be something fun to do! They also have a bookstore and gift shop willing to take your money and sell you anything railroad related!
