Are you an undecided voter? Read this:

An interesting excerpt from Roger Cohen’s NY Times editorial from yesterday, “Nixon, Bush, Palin”

“I’m grateful to Bob Rice of Tangent Capital for pointing out that the actuarial risk, based on mortality tables, of Palin becoming president if the Republican ticket wins the election is about 1 in 6 or 7.

That’s the same odds as your birthday falling on a Wednesday, or being delayed on two consecutive flights into Newark airport. Is America ready for that?

The lesson of the last eight years is this: when power is a passport to gamble, people can end up seriously broke or seriously dead.”

I’ve been very agitated by this election. I’m dumbfounded at how gullible people are. Why do they want a VP who reminds them of themselves (only more beautiful and ambitious)? If the republicans win this time around, we are looking into moving to Vancouver.

The most mysterious creatures in the world to me, undecided voters. How on earth could you not know at this point?

I wonder if the actuaries factored in the stress of the job? McCain’s no Ronald Reagan: he’d take it very seriously. Everyone but Reagan seems to age about ten years per term.

    Tell it, Deb!

Christine, I’m so with you. I’m agitated and beyond patience with voters who have failed to read enough, listen enough to make a decision. I don’t know if I can remain civil and sane if McCain wins. If you leave, take me with you. My guy is willing to ride it out, but on this issue, we’d might have to take a break. I really can’t stand the idea of living with a McCain administration (I realize I’m being extreme about a separation, indication of how distressed I am about the election.)

    Thanks for the post.

On a lighter note. An invitation: Please join us for Little Lovin’ Monday.

I’m decided all right. But I can’t vote!

I am prettier, smarter and I know more about Russia than Sarah Palin (we used to share a border with the Soviets that was actually cutting through former Romanian territory). I also had been able to watch those flying above the Black See ( whatever those are, I think in my case they were seagulls, but how can one be sure?). So Vote Me!

On a more serious note, I wish I could vote.

    But soon…

sorry, I meant Black Sea. At least she might spell better…
