Submissions are now open for the next issue at qarrtsiluni, with “Mutating the Signature” as the new theme. The issue editors are Dana Guthrie Martin and Nathan Moore. This is a process-oriented theme: every submission must be the result of a collaboration between writers or artists. So you’ll need to find a writing partner or other creative collaborator, but the subject matter is wide open. Please visit the site to read the theme description and guidelines: http://qarrtsiluni.com/2008/12/01/call-for-submissions-mutating-the-signature/
As always, feel free to forward this message to friends, colleagues, or appropriate lists, and/or to copy all or part of the call for submissions into blogs or message boards. The deadline for submissions is six weeks from now, on January 15.
“Journaling the Apocalypse” continues through December, with many exciting and hair-raising posts still to come. We hope to start publishing pieces for “Mutating the Signature” shortly after New Year’s, and will continue through March if we get enough material. (Qarrtsiluni does seem to be turning into a quarterly now.)
By the way, if you’re a new contributor, please don’t let the fact of your recent or upcoming publication deter you from submitting again to the upcoming issue. We like to encourage all our contributors to
become regulars, adding to an overall sense of continuity and community. Brand new contributors, as well as those who have tried us in the past without success, are all just as welcome, however – nobody gets preferential treatment.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
