losses on top of losses

I don’t know why these things happen in groups (I think it is pattern-making on my part, to be honest), but many good friends, IRL & otherwise, and admired acquaintances, have lost their furry companions recently. In fact, I had two emails just yesterday telling me their sad news.

I don’t know what I want to say, other than to list them. The poems I find are schmaltzy, other than the ones friends have written, or mine. (The links are for my own reference, although you can follow if you’d like.)

Ed: I’ve added Raf’s name and a couple of other pets who I knew, but had missed. There are just so many.

Thanks for keeping their memories alive, Deb. The doxie’s name was Raf. As in Rafael, one of the Ninja Turtles, my son’s inspiration.

It’s hard to think of what to say. Patches is getting older. We’ve already lost her sister. I don’t want to think about her being there.

I’m sure everyone who’s lost a furry family member appreciates the post.

Christine, thank you. I searched through all our emails and couldn’t find his name. xxoo

Susan, one very small consolation is that we can empathize for each other. I’m sorry; it’s especially hard with siblings.
