When a person is fed, clothed, sheltered and safe there is a time question.
Too much or not enough to make something of the hour, day, week that lasts.
Something is vague, a shifting fog in low light — build instead a small cairn.
Walk away; behind you saws grind maple to dust, open bluing sky.
Clear dirty eyes and call them tears, a mistaken idea: past gone.

I “dent” at Identi.ca, which is a smaller, friendlier version of micro-blogging, similar to Twitter, but open source. Dave Bonta went over there, and I followed him. Several other poets also dent, and some of us cross-post to Twitter. I post my dents as FB status updates, too, which might be really annoying to some of my friends.
Check it out!
I am @stoney on Identi.ca and @stoneymoss @ Twitter.
I have found it delightful to work so narrowly. It is a great way to try to write haiku, American sentences, which are more difficult than they would seem! Mini-stories, all kinds of stuff. Anything that gets me writing is a tool I willingly use.
There is a group of us (mostly they) posting our short work at

Perhaps micro-poems are just right. I am learning.

I’ve been dabbling with Twitter and haiku(-ish things) as well. You’ve inspired me to check out Identi.ca.
Hey! I ‘ve been meaning to check in on you. And here you are. And on Indenti.ca where I dented a greeting, and another when I figured it was you!
Check out via negativa’s latest post. I think you will enjoy it.
Not sure the micro thing is for me but I love to see what others are into. Thanks for sharing.
I actually read the via negative post shortly after this one, and I did enjoy it. Thanks for the greeting dents, too.
