One of the (unpublished) todooze on my list is to update Stoney Moss. I loaded new header photos yesterday and got rid of the fuzzy images. That was a high priority and I am happy to see the new pictures (refresh your browser to rotate them). Those of you reading me on Google reader are missing out (if I do say so myself).
Next I will try to figure out the code to make text links a dark gray and not bold color. That bright blue, while a pretty color, is distracting. This will stretch my technical abilities. I hope I don’t break anything!
I’ll also be updating general information such as my publication list, and noting in Whirling Dervish’s page that she is on hiatus.
Any of my readers have any suggestions or requests? Stuff that bugs you or is hard to read? I’d love your input, I really would.

deb, i love the header! i only saw one but now coming here instead of reading you from google will be a treat. and blue looks fine to me. if you want, you can change a little darker, like a shade between indigo/gray/blue. good luck with HTML!
Thanks, Odessa! I need those good wishes on html.
I don’t mind the blue in the sidebars, just in the post itself. I hope I can figure out how to only change those.
yes, request: could the stewardess come around with the beverage cart a little more frequently? :)
p.s. i like the photo in your heading a lot. and the colors match my shirt (today). is that a service you’ll be offering every day? :)
Happy to oblige, ma’am. (Which photo did you get? There are 5 rotating ones.)
Love the header.
How many people actually use archive or labels in the sidebar? I read that most readers use the search box more. Some use labels but not labels and archive. I eliminated menu and archive box and no one has said a peep.
I know some html but I work in Blogger. No clue what the control panel looks like in Word. Can you change colors easily with wyswyg or do you actually have to write the code? In Blogger, your template comes with a color wheel. Click and save changes.
My suggestion is whatever you do, save your original template before making changes.
We just did a complete redo at Color Online. I love it. I don’t expect everyone to be equally impressed but what I hope they are impressed with is the functionality and organization of the blog.
Come take a look. Hope you had a good time at the wedding.
lovely headers, especially the close up to the flower and the mountains.
The header rocks. And apart from the link colour and style, the blog is superb.
yep, great headers, no input except to say it’s a great place and how do you take such amazing close-ups?
Oh! Thank you all for your comments!
Susan, I have to change the template in my control panel on the web-hosting service I rent for the links. So that is the tricky part. And I see there is an updated template version that I might want to bring on. I have to remember how to do it, though!
I use the categories myself when looking, but not archives. I may delete that, although it is nice to see how long someone has been blogging, and how much they post.
Hi, CGP. The mountain is Mount Hood in summer, from the Paradise Cove hike I did with a friend last year. I love the peony, too. Thank you!
Thanks, Reth. Nice compliment, sir! Fixing that linking is a priority.
Jo, I’m lucky my little camera has a nice close-up setting. I was getting into macro-photography with my old camera, but haven’t had the money to get a real, fancy digital camera with everything I want. I’m glad you like them.
Deb,
Love your photography. I wish I had an eye for the art. I don’t.
I thought about history and frequency, too. I enjoy knowing but I’ve been working at what is really used and helpful. I love seeing it, but I have so much in my sidebars I wanted to keep that I gave those up. My bring the archive back. I doubt the menu because my new template has a great search feature.
Web-hosting. Arggg. Had gotten away from that now I’m back. Waiting on Blogger to do something they need to do so I can link to a our web page. Of course, my guy is in no hurry since he does most of the work. I’m more the ideas girl and he’s the techi.
Thanks, Susan!
My first love is visual arts. I am a dilettante. Dabble in lots of things but not excellent at any one thing. :-)
I reduced the archives to the simple pull-down. I think it does look less cluttered, although I don’t like the theme appearance too much.
I was able to get rid of the bold and underline on links. But all links have the same color with this theme, and going to all dark gray was hard to read, I thought. But at least the links in the body are no longer bold or underlined.
I still need to check out color-online. Will do!
PS — I want me a techie!
Nice headers! Not gone for much longer, I hope…
Glad you made it back from your hike safely-reminded me a bit of the last time I took my dog and went hiking by myself! The solitude is lovely, though. :-)
Hey WD! Don’t think I didn’t recall your St Helen’s hike either! It crossed my mind back and forth like the spider webs that spanned the path(s).
I hope it is not much longer, either. Glad you like the headers!
xxoo Your pal.
