I haven’t been writing poems, or doing much blogging. Mark is away on a week long trip to poke around his family graveyard and synagogue in Philadelphia and I have been juggling the pets, work and getting ready for my writers’ group next week.

what’s cooking
Momentile Monday
There’s been a reversal,
although not unfortunate.
A rendition that sounds
sweet as it swings to a rusty
harmonic’s saw, harsh
when it faces the crowded field.
Rarefied when viewed from below.

I love Hey Harriet. She creates galleries of some of the last week shots (but do look at Mr Linky for everyone!) and takes you on a tour of her own. Terrific images nicely put together. (Bink on the camera to go to Hey Harriet.)

A familial dictate to comply
Sharecropper, copper miner, cook
When this body’s cells morph
They create sickness
The grave kind that vocal
chords lisp as “cee”
Resting lightly on the s-sound
As if to avoid [...]

Do go check out Hey Harriet. She creates galleries of some of the last week shots and takes you on a tour of her own. Terrific images nicely put together. This week she’s got three fantastic river shots herself! Serendipity: I love it. [...]
