I feel fortunate to have one in the 'hood. This fellow was in Fanno Creek, next to a busy street I travel on my walk home from the bus. Startling, too, how large they are. He was only 8-10 feet away from me. The dim light kept me from getting a better photo. And my nerves. I didn't want to interrupt the dinner search. Yes, yes. Eerie and fascinating.
