Shadow Shot Sunday

racoon prints

Few things are recognizable without its accompanying shadow. What would the absence of mass be, without shadow to define it?

Hey Harriet. A weekly post where you can see galleries of some of last week’s shots and a tour of Hey Harriet’s own creative work. Terrific images nicely put together. (Bink on the camera to go to Hey Harriet.) See Mr. Linky for this week’s offerings.

Nice prints! I have often thought this very thing as I view prints in sand and dirt! They would be invisible impressions otherwise!

They are indeed raccoon prints. On a sandy part of the Willamette River, in Portland, Oregon, where Sport (the dog) and I went for a walk Saturday and discovered some river access.
