I have been working a lot of OT the last few weeks. Before that it was Read Write Poem‘s overhaul, even though Dana did most of the heavy lifting.

So here is a brief post as I start my workday. American Sentences.

Any fear of -nessless pushes me to extravagances, not loss.

Listen: rustled paper scratches feather paths worn down to milky bone.

The sharp smell of burning toast brings back bitter lost opportunities.

* * *

I’d drink you like morning coffee but you scald my lips with milky steam.
